The motto that we live by here at Ronick is “Measure Twice, Cut Once”. Which means we pride ourselves on a standard of excellency, and we double check our work throughout the entire process to ensure that we are providing accurate solutions to fit your business needs. With all of our entrance floor mats being customized to fit a specific space, accuracy is very important, and our mats are cut to the precise specification. If measurements are taken twice, costly errors can be avoided saving on both time and materials.
During the planning phase of projects, we encourage measurements to be done multiple times. We have resources available on how to accurately measure the designated area for both new and replacement entrance floor mats; including measuring areas in between doors, regular and irregular angles etc. Ronick has a team of experts that will be with you every step of the way to help you select the right entrance mat for your needs, we also take into consideration whether or not you need a frame for your mat and how that plays into the final dimensions. There are a lot of components that go into your entrance floor mat. If your mat doesn’t fit properly, not only will it look unsightly, but it can also create tripping hazards; with the mat being unable to lie flat or by creating an uneven edge where the mat doesn’t reach.
The “measure twice, cut once” proverb has been around for 100s of years, and it is something that we have heard time and time again, but the lesson still holds true. In a deadline driven industry it is easy to take shortcuts or cut corners, especially when entrance floor mats are typically one of the last items to go into the design process. Planning ahead and putting in the time and effort do things right the first time will end up saving the project in the long run. Before taking action and cutting the mat to size we want to confirm that we have exact measurements for the building. Double checking everything as it moves through the different development phases will ensure a quality mat is delivered to the entrance floor.
Poor planning can stall the project and leave you with an entrance mat that doesn’t do the job. Entrance floor mats come in many different styles and serve various functions. We will cover all of the different customization options for entrance floor mats in another post.
In the meantime measure twice, cut once!
